The abject poverty around them is a massive plus for ZC in this. The context is totally different to places where people have plenty of options.

Yup heard an interview on the radio where the presenter was saying a lot of the guys who Taibu wanted to boycott actually need that money. Even if it is $500. The economic situation in the country is really sad. So sad that a lot of people are not sympathetic here because not getting paid on time is actually a normal thing now. It also makes a lot of people bitter at Taylor earning so much yet he is actually trying to do the right thing.

"It's a tough one," Mire said. "The fans are a little bit angry [at what has been happening]. But that's something that's out of our control at the moment. The only thing we can do is concentrate on trying to perform, and hopefully that will win back the fans."

This was on a cricinfo article and the quotes from Mire. If this does not speak volumes then I don't know what does.

Out of their control??? It is definitely not out of their control. They need to stand with their fellow players, down tools and demand change. They are the control. They don't realise it. They have been fed some serious propaganda and they are buying it hook line and sinker.

Little bit angry?? Has the man not seen social media? We are more than a little bit angry. They keep talking about concentrating on performing, but they rarely ever perform and they rarely ever do it consistently.

Do they not realise that if they have a proper administration then their performances will improve. They will get a proper domestic season. More money put in to training and infrastructure. More investment in the development of the side. More opportunities to tour and play the bigger teams. They will get a proper academy. They will get all the things that allow them to perform better. It is a knock on effect.

So when you say their are spies in the players union, it is definitely not hard to believe.

As per the articles i have read the match fees for sri lanka tour has been paid as promised by ZC. Also the ICC have taken steps to better manage the fundings given to ZC, with the bank loan and player payments being taken care now by the ICC.

I understand that players are not happy with ZC but as of now after the decisions taken by the ICC I don't understand the reason for this strike by senior players.

What don’t you understand? The people willing and capable of seeing past lunchtime want real change, not window dressing because we can’t continue under this regime. It’s simple.
